The Positives & Negative of Mrs.Bristol

I have been thinking about Mrs.Bristol and wondering if I like her or not so to help, I have come up with a list of positives and negatives for her.

Positives:
~She hands out easy homework
~She will actually explain
stuff to you
~She has had 30+ years of
experience in teaching
~She will stay at DSC for the
whole year

Negatives:
~She hands out homework
~She is a little strict
~She keeps people in after class
~She won't let us talk that much

My conclusion is that even though there are more positives than negatives, I don't really like her.

Premiers Reading Challange

Not alot of you know, but the challange actually starts on the 1st of January. At school, we normally don't start it untill term 2 and by then, you would have about 4 months to complete it, but if you start recordinng your books on the 1st of January, you will have 8 months. Thats why, I have a document of my computer where I record the books I have read and am reading and also mark whether it is on the challange list.

All This Rain

Today has been really wet. When I left school early at 12.00, it had just started to rain. When I got home, my house had lost power and was continuially having blackouts. It is now 4.30 and it is still bucketing down with a combonation of rain and hail, with some thunder and lightening aswell! The weather report still says that there is much more rain on the way. Lets hope that I don't get anymore blackouts!

April Fools Day

April Fools Day, although not a holiday, is a well celebrated day which occurs on April 1. The day is marked by a series of hoaxes and other practical jokes of varying sophistication on friends, family members, enemies or sending them on fool's errands, the aim of which is to embarras the gullible.Triditionally, in some countries like Australia, the UK, New Zealand, pranks and jokes last until noon. If you are to do a joke after noon, you are called an April Fool. In other countries, like Ireland and the US, jokes last all day.

Substitute Teachers

I am getting concerned about the amount of substitute teachers we are getting lately. Last week, we got 14 subs and already this week, we have had seven and its only the end of Tuesday! If we were to have subs, couldn't they actually teach us something instead of just telling us to do some particular thing. It is a fact that I am the only one in my class who actually uses this time to do work. Everyone else just tells the sub that they have completed the work and then they start talking, making it difficult for me to complete my work. Can't the sub get the student to show the teacher that they have done the work. Therefore, I would have missed out on 2 days last week and already 1 day this week!

PS: Sub numbers will vary for different languages.
